Brand previously alleged that the newspaper owner was evading taxes
using tax avoidance schemes and was probably going to confront him,
reports claim.
Katy Perry's ex husband, Russell Brand showed up at the C.E.O of the Daily Mail, Viscount Rothermere's London mansion unannounced early this week only to find out he wasn't in.
The British comedian reportedly sprang up his uninvited visit with a camera crew, apparently filming for his documentary, "Hit List", with Michael Winterbottom.
Brand previously alleged that the newspaper owner was evading taxes using tax avoidance schemes.
In
December 2014, Twitter threatened to ban the actor after he tweeted the
phone number and house address of a Daily Mail journalist with the
caption:
'Rothermere and the Daily Mail avoid taxes. One of their senior reporters wants to talk about it.'
Reports say this is Brand's second attempt at gatecrashing someone's home for his show.
In December, the self-styled revolutionary paid a visit to the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS)
headquarters in London, where he protested against the bank’s taxpayer
bailout. He was however denied entry and was sent off the premises.
In fact, his trip outraged staff, causing an employee to write an open letter to Brand, where he called his misdemeanors the “puerile self-aggrandizing antics of a prancing multimillionaire.”
