'If Tomorrow Never Comes' Inspiration behind Yvonne Nelson's new movie passes away

Child actor and inspiration behind Yvonne Nelson's new movie production 'If Tomorrow Never Comes' is dead.
Ghanaian director, Pascal Amanfo, took to his Instagram page to pay tribute to the late kid and also reveal him as the inspiration behind the upcoming movie.
According to Pascal, the inspiration came from the late child who couldn't walk or talk.
"Had the amazing and eye opening opportunity to film with this child in his challenging condition...unable to talk or walk..cerebrally deformed and yet with a glow that can pierce any heart...
"His mother blatantly refused to poison him as her family demanded and stuck with her guts to give him a chance at life..i have known the treasure of raising kids...the joy they bring and emptiness life can be without them and so when i met this child through the @luckielawson foundation and initiative, i decided his story could and should be told...
"This forms the premise for a @ynproductionsgh film...IfTomorrowNeverComes...
"it is therefore heartrending to note that Kwaku, this said child, 2 weeks after shoot just passed away in an Accra hospital..he required no greater honour than at least living to share a part of his story with the world. GOD bless your hearts @luckielawson..@yvonnenelsongh...Kwaku lives on!!" - He shared.
May his soul rest in peace.

David Oyelowo Actor defends Benedict Cumberbatch's "coloured actors" comment

Benedict Cumberbatch called Chiwetel Ejiofor and David Oyelowo "colouredduring his appearance on Tavis Smiley's show.
Benedict later apologized for his choice of word. Selma actor,David Oyelowo has stepped out to defend the actor's comment.
According to the Selma actor, people should focus on what Cumberbatch was saying — rather than the term he said.
The actor said this at the film's European premiere in London on Tuesday.
"To attack him for a term, as opposed to what he was actually saying, I think is very disingenuous and is indicative of the age we live in where people are looking for sound bites as opposed to substance." - He said.
"He was actually being very supportive of the likes of me, and other black actors and actresses — we do have greater opportunities in the U.S. in relation to the U.K."
"We use the term 'people of color' in America. Is that immensely different to what he said? I don't think so, just focus on what he was trying to say." - David added.

Muna Obiekwe 8 things you didn't know about late Nollywood actor

Check out the many things you didn't know about the late talented Nollywood actor, Muna Obiekwe.

8 things you didn't know about late Nollywood actor

Talented Nollywood actor, Muna Obiekwe passed away after battling with Kidney disease. The actor who loved to keep his life private, featured in over 300 movies.

iCampus Magazine which is owned by Samuel Olatunji; a Journalist and PR expert, has listed out some things you probably didn't know about the late actor.
According to the Magazine, Vera Kanu, a mother figure to the late Muna in Nollywood, confirmed that the actor was addicted to alcohol.

He was also a private guy who didn’t want the press or his colleagues to feast on his pain, and include him amongst 'Nollywood’s industry of beggars’.
Here we go;
  • Muna was scared of the press.
Muna was not ready to beg or raise money because he was too ashamed of what his colleague or press will say. “The guy was private. He kept to himself a lot and most importantly, kept his private life private; for instance, many people did not even know he was married with two children. Such was his life. He didn’t want press or his colleagues to start prying.

He was particularly afraid of the press, hence his shutting his colleagues out of his pain. He knew if some Nollywood people got to know about it, the press would also get to know. He refused to beg to save Nollywood’s image, he in-turn, lost himself.” A Nollywood star told us the press needs to take it easy with stars, “we are human too and like every other person, we have our pains. The press needs to be less judgmental. If he wasn’t too scared of the press, perhaps, he would have reached out for help.”
  • Muna drank heavily despite doctor’s warning.
“I was with him to the last hour.  He was to do up to 20 dialyses; the doctor said if the dialysis improved his condition, the worse would certainly be over. He will be okay only if he stays away from alcohol but you know our artiste” - Vera Kanu
  •  Kanayo O Kanayo, Patience Ozokwor, Vera Kanu and Ejiro Okurame rendered the help they could until his death.
“He was managing it on his own. As a matter of fact, he has been managing it for a while until Ejiro Okurame and I came on board to help. We were combining resources to help him but there was very little we could do to save him. We had to enlist the help of Patience Ozokwor and Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) at a point. They rendered the help they could until he died.” - Vera his godmother.
  •  He never got to reach out to Ibinabo Fiberesima(AGN President) despite a desire to do so.
Contrary to many reports Muna was not ready to beg or raise money because he was too ashamed of what his colleague or press will say.
Shortly before his death, Muna summoned enough courage and contacted Nollywood actress and AGN president, Ibinabo Fiberesima.
He however, promised to get back to her, but fate struck a fatal blow and he never did.
  • Muna discovered his ailment long time ago.
Muna discovered his kidney problem a long time ago but like most people, he thought he could manage it. He ignored the pain and continued working without paying much attention. According to a close source, he only took his drugs and medication once in a while as ‘Muna never believed the ailment could lead to his death.

He believed he would survive it like he did the gunshot and death of his parents. He was not a man given to worrying about things. He believed it was not a coincidence his parents named him Munachimso, a name which means God is walking with me.’
  • Muna was married with 2 children.
“The guy was private. He kept to himself a lot and most importantly, kept his private life private; for instance, many people did not even know he was married with two children.
  • Muna is the first cousin of Yul Edochie.
Muna is also the first cousin of Yul Edochie, that makes him a member of Pete Edochie’s family.
  • Muna was one of the three busiest actors in the Industry
Another thing many people do not know about him again is that he was one of the three busiest actors. The other two are Mike Ezuronye and Yul Edochie.
