Cristiano Ronaldo 2014 Ballon D’Or winner breaks-up with Russian Model girlfriend, Irina Shayk

Miss Irinai Shayk was said to have fallen out of favour with Ronaldo's mother during the Christmas period. She was holidaying in the Maldives on Monday.

Ronaldo and Irina Shayk reportedly split  after the Model stayed away from the Ballon D'Or event for a Beach holiday in the Maldives

Since they started dating back in 2010, it used to be a culture that the pair attend the Ballon D’Or event together or any other major get-together with where the Real Madrid star was to attend.

Irina Shayk was with Ronaldo last year when he won the FIFA Player of the Year, she celebrated with him on the stage and through Social Media but the Russian model was conspicuously missing from the award night on Monday.

Specualtions were that they had broken up but her camp said that she was not available due to ‘work commitments’, however, Ms Shayk was said to  be on a holiday in the Maldives and even posted Instagram photos on the day of the Ballon D’Or awards.

"[The Ballon d'Or] didn't fit in with her schedule - it was because of work commitments. We have no further comment to make," her PR company said.

Ronaldo’s camp is yet to say anything about the pending matter but the story may not be far from the truth with emerging reports that the Model fell out with Ronaldo’s mother during the Christmas period over plans on how to spend the season with the family.

There’ve been no words of congratulations from the model since Monday when Ronaldo won the FIFA award.
